It was a good hotel at a good rate.

This hotel has it made with its location! Though our room was not listed as ocean view, we could see the ocean from our side street balcony. Good enough for us! Our room wasn't terribly impressive. Some crumbs on the carpet, and the bathroom just didn't appear to be shiny clean. Biggest disappointment was the lack of hot water. There was warm water, at best. We went for our anniversary. Perfect place! Room facing the beach. Sand right across the walk. Ocean view and hear the surf at night. Staff was friendly and good breakfast. Hotel location was convenient, close to beach and restaurants. Complimentary breakfast was good. It could be clean and make sure the supplies are stocked properly, like toilet paper. Also I thought every business is required to have a safety king handy. My daughter got a cut at the beach. I asked front desk if they had bandages. Enjoyed the location of the Sandcastle - able to walk to parts of Pismo that we like, and right on the beach. The room was roomy and very nicely fitted out - pretty, modern - all the convenient things, robes and frig too. Cookies and fruit in afternoon, newspapers in morning and good, varied breakfast (make your own Belgian waffles the new thing now).
